Cryotherapy

Advanced Innovation

Cryotherapy is an advanced freezing innovation that is a safe, fast and effective solution for the removal of skin imperfections.

A controlled and comfortable fine jet of nitrous oxide is applied to the affected area and the tiny cold blast eliminates the blemish by freezing the tissue cells.

Cryotherapy is suitable for skin tags, sun damage, age spots, warts and verrucae.

Personalised Treatments

The removal of skin lesions by cryotherapy generally uses liquid nitrogen which is stored in special flasks and cartridges, and is applied to the skin using a device that emits the liquid nitrogen in a fine and controlled spray. Applying small amounts of liquid nitrogen to various skin problems is now a standard treatment.

A wide variety of superficial, benign (non-cancerous) lesions can be treated with cryotherapy, but it is most commonly used to remove pigmentation caused by sun damage, viral warts and verrucae, skin tags and other annoying cosmetic blemishes.

Applications usually last about 10 -30 seconds and has been likened to holding an ice cube against your skin for 10 -30 seconds. It is uncomfortable but usually not too painful as most people find the discomfort quite bearable.

The treatments usually work first time, however sometimes thicker warts and verrucae and larger skin tags need two or more sessions over a period of a few weeks.

A full, thorough and free consultation is carried out before treatments to insure it is entirely appropriate for your needs and wellbeing.
